St Pierres

Opening the South Island’s first drive-through St Pierres sushi restaurant at Yaldhurst Park was a matter of the ‘stars aligning’ for St Pierres Director Costa Katsoulis.

“We look at volume generators like McDonald’s and the NPD service station to help support our business. And the sports centre across the road also looks quite promising for growth,” says Costa.

“Since opening, we’re pleased with the trade and I can see its going to grow – that’s the key advantage of it, it’s got growth potential.”

The decision to add a drive-through to the restaurant was also influenced by the amount of available land on the site, as well as the volume of passing traffic.

“The demand for our sort of food has been driven by convenience.

Parking and convenience is really important to our business – and we have plenty of parking available for our customers.”

“That’s why I think the Yaldhurst Park commercial centre will go very well too.”
